Achilles tendon was thickened and its fibrillar pattern was distorted. There was hyperemia between tendon fibers and around retrocalcaneal bursa. There was neither erosion nor enthesophyte on calcaneus, but mild hyperemia was observed in insertion site. Such Achilles tendonitis and enthesitis with retrocalcaneal bursitis may be observed in patients with seronegative spondyloarthropathy like psoriatic arthritis. However, I have observed similar findings in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
Administrator: this Patient had severe enthesitis at various sides. T suzukis comments are correct, this is the typical enthesitis of anpatient with psoriatic Arthritis, eg periphere SpA.
Bursitis
AntwortenLöschenIt's not only a bursitis of the bursa subachillea. Have a look to all the enthesis.
